Advancing the State of the Art: Civic Participation and Knowledge Technologies (Warsaw)

KT4D Use Case 3, "Advancing the State of the Art: Civic Participation and Knowledge Technologies," is embarking on a second study, following the successful pilot conducted in Kraków. On November 9th, a Polish research team from the Institute of Urban and Regional Development will conduct this study in Warsaw. Participants invited to take part in the study represent diverse social groups, encompassing the unemployed, students, the economically active, and seniors, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable to social exclusion.

It is noteworthy that our scientific research follows a "citizen science" format, where participants voluntarily contribute their time and do not receive financial compensation for their involvement. This study aims to enhance our understanding of how citizens perceive modern technologies and their impact on democratic processes.
