KT4D participates in the European AI Forum and Digital Summit in Gdansk, Poland two pivotal gatherings that represent the forefront of Europe's digital transformation agenda. Taking place on June 16-18, 2025, at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk, Poland, these events mark the culmination of Poland's EU Council Presidency in the field of digitalisation and set the stage for Europe's continued innovation trajectory.

The European AI Forum

The European AI Forum, taking place on June 16th, has evolved from its initial launch in 2020 into a powerful network of associations ensuring startups and innovators across EU Member States have a meaningful voice in building AI regulatory frameworks. Since its inception during the Croatian Presidency over the Council of the European Union, the Forum has grown into a community that brings together AI decision-makers and entrepreneurs to address the most pressing challenges in Europe's AI ecosystem. The Forum operates independently through in-kind support from members across Europe, maintaining its political neutrality while fostering diverse perspectives in AI policy development.

This year's European AI Forum will focus on critical areas including AI Act implementation strategies at national levels, building and scaling AI infrastructure across Europe, and advancing open-source AI development for European technological sovereignty. The discussions will explore how Europe can strengthen its position in cloud computing and AI while addressing practical applications of artificial intelligence across various industries. Government officials, including Deputy Ministers from Poland, Lithuania, and Czechia, will join industry leaders, researchers, and policy experts to examine AI regulatory sandboxes and compliance frameworks that balance innovation with responsible development.

Digital Summit

The Digital Summit, running concurrently on June 17-18, serves as the strategic conclusion of Poland's digital initiatives during its EU Presidency. This gathering unites ministers, MEPs, technology industry leaders, scientists, and representatives of innovative companies to summarise achievements in digitalisation while outlining joint plans for the coming years. The Summit addresses the most critical challenges facing European small and medium-sized enterprises today, ranging from implementing modern technologies like AI and cloud computing to adapting to EU digital legislation including DSA, DMA, AIA, and NIS2. The Digital Summit's discussions will encompass the future of the digital single market and modern technologies in SMEs, quantum computing development and applications, AI strategy implementation, and investments in European technologies. Participants will explore digital skills development and workforce transformation while addressing the pressing need to reduce regulatory barriers and administrative burdens that affect innovation and development. The event brings together key figures in Europe's digital transition, including government representatives and business leaders from EU countries and partners from Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

For KT4D, these events represent invaluable opportunities to engage directly with Europe's digital transformation agenda and contribute to discussions on sustainable innovation frameworks. The forums provide crucial platforms to connect with key stakeholders shaping AI and digital policies while influencing the development of regulatory approaches that support both technological advancement and compliance requirements. Through participation in these high-level discussions, KT4D can disseminate its results, build strategic partnerships across Europe's innovation ecosystem and contribute expertise to policy conversations that will define the continent's digital future. The convergence of these two events in Gdansk creates a unique environment where Europe's digital future is actively shaped through collaborative dialogue between government, industry, academia and innovation communities. As European businesses navigate rapid technological change and growing regulatory complexity, these gatherings offer essential forums for developing practical solutions and building the partnerships necessary for sustained digital leadership on the global stage.
