Demos Helsinki  - one of the KT4D partners of the consortium, is organising in collaboration with Members of the European Parliament an Event on Monday, May 31st, entitled 'How to harness technology for inclusion, participation and democracy?' which is part of the 'Plurality European Tour'. The event will be held online from 09:00 to 11:00 AM after registration through their form here

The event will be held just one week before the EU parliamentary elections and will discuss the future of democracy - a very important theme especially in 2024 which is considered the year of democracy given the many elections happening all over the world.

There will be presentations and panel discussions with highly regarded speakers like Audrey Tang - former Digital Minister of Taiwan, and E.Glen Weyl - Funder of RadiclaXChange and the Plural Institute, who will be giving Keynote presentations sharing insights on The Future of Collaborative Technology and Democracy, which offers tools for radically enriching relationships while making sure no one is left behind. Audrey Tang along with her collaborators, has driven inclusive, technology-enabled growth that leverages digital tools to enhance both social unity and diversity and has co-authored with Glen Weyl the book 'Plurality: The Future of Collaborative Technology and Democracy', which provides tools to significantly enrich relationships while ensuring inclusivity. Her visionary ideas have the potential to revolutionise sectors from healthcare to media, demonstrated by the book’s creation as a collaborative, self-governing chorus of global voices.

The panel discussion will focus on digital democracy featuring experts in the filed. It will be coordinated by Atte Ojanen - Research Manager from Demos Helsinki, and Joonas Leppänen, PhD, Senior Lead from Sitra which are experts in digital democracy .
