OPEN CALL FOR PARTNERSHIPS: ORGANISATIONS WORKING ON CRITICAL LITERACY FOR YOUTH IN EUROPE

OPEN CALL FOR PARTNERSHIPS: ORGANISATIONS WORKING ON CRITICAL LITERACY FOR YOUTH IN EUROPE

Tactical Tech is offering an interesting opportunity for learning institutions and organisations across Europe for their three-year project called Critical ChangeLab.

KT4D’s focus on democracy and Civil society is strictly tied to the importance of education. Education is fundamental for Critical thinking and therefore for choice making and democracy building. Focusing on the education of the youngest section of society is an investment for the future of a country’s democracy.

The 10 partners to the Critical ChangeLab project are developing new participatory pedagogical methods for assessing the state of democracy among youth. They are therefore looking for schools, libraries, cultural centres, civil society organisations and others who work with youth to test and implement the Critical ChangeLab model in their contexts.

Tactical Tech is a global non-governmental organisation that collaborates with citizens and civil society groups to investigate and address the societal effects of technology. The youth initiative strives to empower young individuals to take control of their digital destinies by fostering education, collaborative creation, and building their capacities.

The Critical ChangeLab introduces a novel educational workshop model aimed at empowering young individuals to envision alternative futures for European democracy. Utilising participatory, creative, and critical methods, this model encourages youth to reflect on their connections to everyday democracy, encompassing relationships with individuals, society, and technology, and motivates them to take action. Partner organisations will undergo training on conducting a Critical ChangeLab, becoming integral members of a Europe-wide community of practice.
